PINOVA is a software startup company based in Shiraz, Iran and we are working to make the world a better place by designing and implementing a cutting-edge software named Synapse for booking doctor appointments online. It has many features such as online booking, event organization, full administration and business interface. It is a web-based application with two companion apps on Android and iOS all with a team of 5 people and more than 40.000 active members. I designed the main architecture of the applications, APIs, MicroServices and Applications. Some of the technologies we use to build our product is: - Node.js - MongoDB - Redis - GraphQL - Docker - GitLab (Including it's CI/CD pipeline) - Self implemented distributed transaction system (code name SAGA)

I managed a team of 8 including software developers, system analysts and software supports people. We were able to implement agile methodologies and wrote automated tests for all softwares. By then we had more than 28 separate systems to manage. So we implemented monitoring systems and incorporated continues deployment and continues integration to help manage our many systems reliably with a reasonably small team. I also always tried to encourage my colleagues to be more professional. I asked the CEO for research time for my team and held weekend sessions called "Fun Time", so the team was able to communicate thoughts and learnings and plan for future and my team loved it. Our team elected Most Productive Team of the company for 2 years in a row and my team members and I was elected Best Employee of The Year for more than 5 times by the 360-degree feedback system.

I lectured for many courses while I was in university but this was completely different with high demands from both the Company and Students. I lectured for than 2,900 hours and I was elected one of the most influential and effective lecturers by anonymous surveys. I have never get rated below 9.2/10. Software development became one of the pillars of the company and we aimed to make all processes paper-less in the company. I helped recruit 2 more software developers and a system analyst and I lead them to write the next generation of the main system named HTMS. The software impacted nearly all corners of the company and we were able to improve company's overall productivity by 30% with accurate measurement of KPIs before and after the new version is deployed.

I was one of the first 50 employees of the Company. The IT manager has decided to use SharePoint as the basis of all automation in the company including the main software named HTMS that every engineer had to work with. It was a complex system of Document, Project and Procurement Management Systems. I was the only software developer of the company back then and I was in charge of analysis, design and development of the entire system. I was fortunate to have this huge opportunity to learn and gain experience. The system became so popular that nearly everyone in the Oil and Gas industry had seen it by the end of the second year including Oil Minister of Iran at the time and many of his deputies.

I designed and developed an entire sub-system for the company's projects planning including features such as WBS management, Task Management, Resource Planning and many more that acted as the main project planning software for the entire company of more than 600 employees and over 50 projects. The project helped increase productivity by 35%. This was before Microsoft Project Server is developed and became popular.

This was my first job as a professional developer and I managed to accomplish many feats while I was working with this company. I have learned how to incorporate essential software development techniques in my development lifecycle. I learned the foundations of ObjectOriented design principles and how distributed systems should and will work. - I helped design and develop a procurement management system for an oil and gas company based on Gachsaran. - I designed and developed the main web site for Shiraz's International Exhibition Center for attendees to be able to rent booths and people to be able to navigate the exhibition. - I also developed several tools and utilities to help my colleagues reduce development time many folds and also write faster, more reliable and more qualified software.
